The Administrative Office of the Courts supports the Fifth Judicial Circuit through its various personnel and programs. A Trial Court Administrator is appointed by the Chief Judge, subject to the concurrence of a majority of the circuit and county court judges, to oversee the non-judicial administration of the court.
The primary role of this office is to facilitate the administrative functions of the court under the guidance of the Chief Judge. The Trial Court Administrator employs non-judicial staff members who provide support functions in administrative areas, rather than legal areas, and as such, handles the business end of the trial court system.
